Revealing the Dark Ages of the Universe
About this month’s speaker – Gary Auker
Gary has given Astronomy talks at NEAS for over 30 years.
He read for a B.Sc (Hons) Physics with Astrophysics at London University then took a Masters Degree in Atmospheric Science from Imperial College London. During his career Gary and his team delivered professional grade CCD chips to various NASA space missions including the Solar Dynamics Observatory, and the Mars Curiosity Rover still working on Mars today.
He is now semi-retired Tutoring STEM subjects to students and working part time for Royal Mail.

Anyone is welcome – beginner or expert – and there is no need to pre-book. A small charge applies to help us cover costs (typically £3 for non-members; £2 for NEAS members; U16s free). Doors open at 7.30pm with the talk starting at 8.00pm.
